Internet has made it possible to play bingo from the comfort
of one’s home. One can play bingo anytime, anywhere at one’s
convenience. One must become a member of an online gaming site to
play online bingo. Most sites give bonus points on registration and

One must be familiar with the rules of online bingo before
attempting play. There are two types of online bingo; straight
bingo and point bingo. The rules of both are the same with
some variations. The game consists of a bingo card with five rows

 The purpose of the game is to create a predetermined pattern of numbers.

One person is designated the caller of numbers in the game.
This person is the caller or the master of the game. Every player gets a
bingo card, a marker to mark numbers. The caller gets a set of
check cards and a table for checking the player’s numbers when they
complete the sequence. He checks the winning numbers of the players and
announces the winner. Every card is unique and every player has an equal
chance of winning.
The game begins with distribution of cards and marking instruments to
the players by the caller. The players arrange this material on the
table before them. The caller keeps the checking cards in front of him
and then mixes the number cards well.
At the start
of the game, every player may keep a marker over the blank space before
the game commences. The caller then picks a number places it on the
proper slot in the checking table and then announces it loudly. The
players must be very attentive during this time. If they have this
called number on their bingo card, then they must cover it up
with the marking instrument. If the number is not present on any
person’s Internet bingo card then it is termed no play.
In this manner, the game carries on until a player makes any of the
patterns described above. He makes a bingo and then the caller
examines his numbers for accuracy by comparing them with the numbers on
his checking table. In case of a discrepancy the player must quit, the
game and the numbers removed from the game. A new round begins and the
game goes on as before. For the new round players receive fresh, cards
and the old ones returned to the caller. If the caller wants to play,
another player can take his place for one round of the game.
Point bingo is a variation of the game in which the players
compete for a thousand points. The caller notes the points printed at
the bottom of every number and notes them against the players’ names.
The person who completes these points first is the winner. If the
bingo is passing through the blank space, the player gets double the
points. A player can get bingo with two rows in which case he
gets points equal to the sum of both rows and a hundred points bonus.
In case the player gets a bingo with the center point and two
rows, he gets double the totals of the two rows and additional bonus of
hundred points. This combination is the winner in case another player
completes bingo at the same time. In another variation, two
players can play as one team. Online bingo is thus an enjoyable
game where one can win a good sum of money and make good friends.
